JON AND KIM CATRON
Pastors Jon and Kim were installed as Calvary’s new pastors in November of 2021. They have served the body of Christ in several different positions over the past 28 years including local, district, and national roles. In his most recent position, Pastor Jon led both The Bible Engagement Project and My Healthy Church ministries from the Assemblies of God in Springfield, MO. At the same time, Pastor Kim was serving as associate pastor at Central AG in Springfield, MO, and is still currently the adult curriculum lead for The Bible Project. They have been married since 1994 and have 3 adult children: Chelsea, Chandler, and Chloe.
OUR STORY
Pastor Jon and Kim met while attending college at Texas A&M University. They married in June 1994 and served the local church in pastoral ministry positions from 1994 until 2004. During that time, Jon earned a bachelor's degree in Church Ministries from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and credentials as an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God (AG).
He also has a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. They were elected to serve in the North Texas District of the AG as District Youth Directors from 2004 to 2016 and then Ministries Director, which included leadership of the staff of Kids, Youth, Men, Women, Chi Alpha, and Communications.
During this season, Kim taught chemistry and other sciences at the high school level and then eventually pursued a master's degree in Counseling and was a counselor at Midlothian (TX) High School. In April 2018, Jon was asked to come to the AG National Office in Springfield, MO, and lead the Bible Engagement Project and all of the departments in publishing known as My Healthy Church.
During their time in Springfield, Kim also felt a shift to pursue her ministerial credentials and is now a Licensed Minister with the AG. She served as Associate Pastor at Central AG in Springfield and is still currently the adult curriculum lead for the Bible Engagement Project.
